MODEL MINORITY, 2024

Acrylic painting of a tiger with two heads—one looking skyward, one looking to the viewer—fragmented in cubist style and encircled, with bloodied feet standing in a barren center contrasted with verdant habitat. Inspired by cubism, Asian calligraphy, Van Gogh’s impressionistic renderings of grass, themes of duality and confinement.

ORIGAMI CARABAO, 2024

A carabao—the national animal of the Philippines—is rendered through fractured, geometric cubist forms set against a vibrant, solid yellow background. The composition strips the animal into angular planes and facets, emphasizing structure over realism. This piece draws from cubism’s formal experimentation, combined with Filipino cultural symbolism, a traditional emblem of rural resilience and labor.

AMERICAN DREAMERS, 2025

Acrylic and collage work featuring a tiger clawing its own back over a background of plastered homework and fifty scraps of torn pages from the book "7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens", arranged to mimic the American flag. Inspired by Asian American identity, immigrant self-help culture, Filipino heritage, political critique of academic and cultural pressure.
